Hydrangea owner/Interior Designer Joyce Russo is "influenced" by the architecture of the space in which she is working and will often incorporate the inherent design elements, materials, and textures into the new design project.

The existing space is often the inspiration for the new design.  Her design philosophy of bringing the outdoors in is implemented by the use of organic materials and "recycled" furniture and accessories.

Working with the client to coordinate expectations is fundamental to the design process.  Initial interviews establish the homeowner's budget and aesthetic vision as well as clarify the function of the new space.

Transforming the homeowner's vision into a good design plan is Joyce's mission as a designer.

Joyce enjoys the challenge of projects of all sizes - vignettes to villas.  She has custom designed furniture, closets, bookcases, offices, kitchens, ski lodges, beach homes, and commercial spaces from Vermont to Florida. 

Most of her clients are in the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania area, but she enjoys traveling and working on projects in new locations.
